Rooted in purpose.
Grown with innovation.
Nourishing community.
At Mushalom, we believe that mushrooms are more than food—they are a source of medicine, sustainability, wonder, and connection. We cultivate gourmet and medicinal mushrooms with reverence, using sustainable methods rooted in our local ecosystem.
Shalom is a Hebrew word meaning hello, goodbye, and so much more! Shalom is peace, wholeness, and well being — precisely what mushrooms provide and is the basis of the energy we feed ourselves, our mushrooms, and our community. Discover grounding and growth.
Our mission is to:
Cultivate high-quality culinary and medicinal mushrooms that nourish body and mind
Build a resilient local food system
Offer accessible mycology education
Bridge traditional knowledge and modern science
Celebrate and research the role of fungi in ecological restoration and bioremediation
We operate with a spirit of experimentation, collaboration, and humility, knowing that fungi teach us to grow in connection, to decompose what needs to be transformed, and to bloom when conditions are right.
We've already inoculated our first local Utah-harvested hardwood logs with Lion's Mane, Reishi, Blue Oyster, and Turkey Tail. We also have active cultures of Enoki, Pink Oysters, Portobellos, King Oysters, and Cordyceps growing!
